Emerade Recall Alert

All Emerade auto-injectors have been recalled by the manufacturer. There is a fault in one component of the auto-injector believed to cause some pens* to fail to activate and deliver adrenaline.

If you know anyone with Emerade pens advise them to see their GP to get new pens from a different manufacturer.  Unused Emerade pens can be returned to a local pharmacy.

You can find more information on the Anaphalaxis Campaign website

*The manufacturer has tested Emerades and found that approximately 13% of pens need higher than normal force to activate, implying a higher risk of activation failure.
